A NEW devotional for writers and dreamers

Launch week rarely looks how I envision it.

I start with an ambitious to-do list: 20+ tasks.

Then reality hits. It’s my son’s last week of school which includes a half day Thursday followed by an end-of-year party at a friend’s house. Friday is the first official day of his summer.

So I begrudgingly grab a Sharpie and cut my list down to the essentials.

And this email? It’s one of them.

Because part of the writing journey is learning to cultivate courage even when the path doesn’t look like we imagined.

Your writing time will rarely feel perfect.
Your launches won’t always go smoothly.
And your marketing won’t always reach as far as we’d like.

But still, you write.

Because…

You are a dreamer and creator. It’s in your DNA.

As a dear friend reminded me last week:
“It’s okay to shoot for the moon. It often leads to a place among the stars.”
