​ Hey Reader, Happy Labor Day 🎉 (if you’re in the US)! ​ I hope you’re enjoying some well-deserved rest today. While you’re relaxing, here’s a quick writing tip for you. ​ The best way to beat writer’s block? Change your scenery. Grab a notebook, take a walk, and let the world around you inspire new ideas. ​ Sometimes, a fresh environment is all you need to unlock your creativity. I love people watching for this too (airports, restaurants, downtown, coffee shops). ​ I found this to be true over the summer when I had the chance to visit Canada (my parents are both Canadian and I'm considered Canadian-American, although I still say I'm from the sea because of growing up on missionary ships, but that's another story). ​ I live in Phoenix and the greenery and majestic beauty of the rolling praries (Alberta) and the towering mountains (British Columbia) refueled my creative spirit and sparked fresh insights, especially while driving. ​ Where will you go today or this week to inspire new ideas?
