I love my writer friends
|
Hey Reader, Can I tell you something I've never forgotten? When I first started my writing journey, I felt so alone. Like I was the only one carrying this strange, stubborn calling to put words on a page and wondering if it even mattered. The first time I went to a meetup with other writers, I sat in my car afterward and cried. Not sad tears. Relief tears. It hit me, I'm not the only one. There are others who feel this pull to wrestle with words and share them with others. That moment changed something in me. And I want that for you, too. So today I'm sharing the top three places I hang out online as a writer, in case you've been feeling alone in this. 1. 20 Books to 50K (Facebook Group) 2. Substack isn't one specific community, but there is a whole world of faith-focused writers over there faithfully stewarding the stories God has placed in them. It's deeply encouraging to connect with other writers who are showing up consistently for their calling. If you haven't wandered over there yet, it's worth exploring. This is my substack page; I'd love to connect: https://substack.com/@deannewelsh 3. The Unstoppable Writers Collective You were never meant to write alone. And you don't have to.
